DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, Santiago, República Dominicana, 20 pesos, 7-11-1864, series G, serial 22015, very rare, PMG VF 30, finest known in PMG census. Rudman-97/98; Pick-22. Appealing example of this very rare type that is similar to the prior lot but issued towards the end of 1864 and denominated as pesos rather than pesos fuertes. Fairly bold printing on nice original paper with sharp edges, very strong penned serial and signatures, nearly complete seal at center, the finer of just two in the PMG census (the other being Fine 15).
